My New Hair Style

Here is a photo of my NEW hair style!

Actually I told the hair stylist to cut 1-2 inches of my hair off, but it turned out at least 4 inches of hair was gone, which I didn't expect. Okay, now I'm missing my long hair... Though I kind of like the new hair style.

Before

What do you think? Before / after is better? :)

Happy CNY!

Happy Chinese New Year! Rabbits are found everywhere in the CNY's Eve flower markets (FYI: There are not only flowers in Chinese flower markets, which you can buy something else), because this year is the year of the Rabbit. How cute!

Today's outfit (it's yesterday's outfit actually, I was going to Disneyland :D as you can see from the mickey's window) is about having something red on me. Red in Chinese culture means good fortune. Also, Chinese people believe red could bring you luck. So I wore the red knitwear which I've bought lately in H&M. In fashion world, red is a color that can make you stand out from the crowd or look chic, so don't be shy and wear more red. Red coat, red dress, or red shirt... whatever is red! I believe everyone could carry such a lovely color. To match red for your outfit, I think black or white could be the best color. Lately I was trying to find a pair of red jeans, but I found it was quite hard. I bet it's because of the season, which dark colors (jeans) are more popular. Can't wait for Spring/Summer to come!

Best wishes,

A Sunday spent with my BFF

On Sunday, me and my BFF Jann. were so bored that we decided to go to Stanley to have fun. For the outfit I finally could wear the dress that I had bought from the Garden Collection of H&M 2 months ago! To match the color of the dress, I carried my new purchase - the red bag. I also added a hat, so that the look would be more suitable for a walk outdoors.

A Night on a Cruise Ship

Thanks to my friend, who works in a cruise ship company, bringing me to have a one night trip with her. If you have stayed on the ship before, you must know that it actually is quite boring, unless you go there for gambling. So why was I so excited why I could spend a night on it? The reason is I loved cruise ships after watching Titanic when I was a kid. I love its white body; I love watching the sea view from it; I love looking at the starry sky on it. It's such a romantic place!

We put our stuff down in the room after boarding the ship. Then we walked around and took pictures. The scenery there was great, especially at night. We had Thai buffet as our dinner (I love Thai food a lot), but it tasted so-so. Later we went to the casino to have a look. We wanted to play but we didn’t, because it's HK$100 for 1 bet... I don't have guts, haha. After shower we had a neck-and-shoulder massage for 30mins. I felt painful in fact. lol Then we explored the ship again and found a great place to watch the starry sky (it really was full of stars)! All I could say was WOW. It was way too amazing! I miss the scenery so much :(

My recent life

Two more weeks and this semester will be ended! But I still have 3 presentations and 3 assignments to do. Sigh... And after that I have to study hard for the coming exams (there are 5 exams!! kill me please) in May. And that would be too late for me to find a job after the exams, so I should start finding some. Sigh... again... I haven't hanged out with friends for ages and really can't wait for the summer break (kind of miss alcohol).

Recently I've watched a program called 'It's On with Alexa Chung', and I like it a lot! Lots of the celebrities she invited are those I adore like Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Lady Gaga, Vanessa Hudgens, Taylor Momsen, Jesse McCartney and etc. Besides chatting, sometimes the guest were requested to perform too, like Leighton Meester singing 'Somebody To Love'. Nice!!

Another thing is that... CLOGS are back! Thanks to Karl Lagerfeld, they became much more fashionable. They're the next things I want to buy for this spring/summer! But I'm still looking for them.

Making something like a fashion magazine

This is one of the pages I designed for an assignment, a newsletter including many sections, of a course called Desktop Publishing. I finished it by using InDesign and Photoshop. The title was TOP TEN OF SPRING/SUMMER 2010. The layout is very simple and doesn't look very good (okay, I feel a bit embarrassed). But I think I could do better if I had more time. In the page I used a floral picture to be its background, which is one of the essentials of this spring (as I said before).

It was my first time to make something like a magazine. I have to admit that I enjoyed it. And I found that I actually am interested in this aspect. Maybe I would find a job of this kind after graduation. It would be fabulous if my job is related to fashion (which means I wanna work in fashion industry). I hope someday I'll become more professional.

Yesterday I used the YSL Manifesto tote bag (1st time). I felt good. Why? Because it was so convenient that I could just throw all the things I needed into the bag; I love its casualness. And it matches my outfit. I think I'm gonna use it for awhile.

THE BLUES

I fall in love with blue lately. It's a key color for this spring. Last month I saw The Blues online campaign. "All winners will also receive a 100 EURO (about $140 USD) gift certificate redeemable at any H&M!" It's so tempting. Doesn't it? :) So I decided to enter the contest. (Although I know I won't win it..) Just for fun.

Here are some pictures I took for the contest.

The strawberry bag & knits

I queued up for the Manifesto tote bag on 20th February. These are the photos I took.

After taking the bag I went to H&M for the Sonia Rykiel pour H&M collection. There were so many people that it looked like a battlefield. One of my desirables was sold out so fast that I didn't have a chance to try to put it on, not to mention buying it. When I was going to leave, some models came out and started posing. They looked cute.

Let's take a picture with tigers. (This year is a year of the Tiger.)

We were having fun with the chocolate decorations. I would eat them if they were real :P
