Burberry Prorsum Fall 2010

Last night (24th, 12am) I was watching the live stream of Burberry Prorsum Fall 2010 Ready-to-wear with people from all over the world! And it was my first time to watch a live fashion show online. How exciting it was. Before the show started, there were some interviews (e.g. Twiggy and George. Btw, Twiggy was wearing the sparkling beret from Sonia Rykiel pour H&M collection, nice!) and videos of Christopher and the backstage. They were really amazing that made me felt like I was there too! Unfortunately I was not in Dubai / New York / Tokyo / Los Angeles cause Burberry broadcasted the show globally in 3D in these cities.

Jackets with giant / double giant collars, shearling and leather. I bet I could feel warm by wearing anyone of them even though I only wore a T-shirt and shorts. (Although the winter in Hong Kong is not that freezing, never lower than 0°C (I guess), I still can't tolerate the cold weather.) And I love the boots at first sight cause they are not only overknee anymore! They are right up to the thigh. (You must have a pair of long legs.)

The military style with dark navy blue is a perfect match. I love it because the color is more "feminine" than olive green.

Brown... ummm..... they are the coats that cannot steal my heart.

The outfits above are so masculine, let's back to feminine style. The lace T-shirt is what I've been looking for, but I don't know where can I buy one... so frustrating... The other reason why I like this collection is there are more colors (e.g. deep pink, maroon, dark navy blue, olive green and yellow etc.) on the garments instead of the regular black and gray.

Shearling Trench Coats

What a breath-taking show. Christopher, you did a great job.

Two thousand of them will be handed out - free of charge - on February 16 in New York, then on Februray 20 in Paris, London, Milan, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and, for the first time, Berlin. The newspaper-sized Manifesto inside has all the Inez and Vinoodh shots of Natalia Vodianova in the Spring 2010 collection.

It's so nice to have Hong Kong in the list AGAIN. Last year I missed the chance, but this year I'm gonna have one (if I'm lucky enough) !! Also, I'll try to take some good pictures there and upload them to the YSL Manifesto website for sharing. Time to sleep, needa get up at 0645. See ya ;)

R.I.P. McQueen

The news that Alexander McQueen has killed himself is particularly devastating because it always felt to me like he’d be the last man standing. He was restless, but so pragmatic with it I assumed he had what it took to endure the extreme situations he placed himself in. He was also an arch romantic with a pessimistic streak. It produced some of the most beautiful, shocking images in the history of fashion, but it’s a state of mind that can lead to endless disappointments. The death of McQueen’s mother last week would have validated his pessimism. It would undoubtedly have taken away his most vital support. It’s awful to imagine him trying—and failing—to cope, and one can only hope that, if he was looking for peace, he found it. For everyone left behind, there will eventually be consolation, however scant right now, in a body of work whose power will never die.

His Spring 2007 Ready-to-Wear collection is my favorite. Gorgeous, mysterious, personable, romantic, and all my favorite models were on the show! I bet it was an amazing show.
Bruna Tenorio, Caroline Trentini

Chanel Iman, Coco Rocha

Jessica Stam, Lily Donaldson

Alexender McQueen, you're such a genius. What a great loss for the fashion world.

Vivienne Westwood Melissa shoes

Every school day I pass the Vivienne Westwood store, and I stare at the window. Can you guess what catches my eyes most? The answer is Melissa shoes. The more I look at them, the more I like them. There are many styles like Lady Dragon, Ultragirl, Wing, Ballerina, Bootie, and Elevated 3-Strap etc. Among them, I like Lady Dragon, Elevated 3-Strap and Kali the most. They're just so beautiful with mini skirts / dresses. Wearing them with tights also look gorgeous. (Of course the color should match the shoes.) MOREOVER, the shoes have the scent of candy! So lovely... don't you think so? :)

Lady Dragon Seal, Globe and Heart
(Is the globe a little bit too big?)

Elevated 3-Strap

Kate Moss's wearing the shoes in Melissa's magazine 'Plastics'. She looks so sexy with them, and I believe I would also be sexy if I wear them. Haha, just kidding :P

Kali
They look so girlish with the bows. And they're wedges, which are much more comfortable. Nice!
